Tommy Bahama Artist Series

This project focuses on the development of textile motifs inspired by the Morning Glory flowers, native to coastal and Hawaiian landscapes. The prints draw from the plant’s resilience, ephemerality, and twining growth habits, translating those qualities into wraparound motifs that move across the garment.

Color, symbolism, and surface design were central to the concept, with influences drawn from wax print traditions and the use of layered pattern and bold color to create depth and visual movement.
